Maximise the quality and yield potential
With a background in agriculture and a history of maintaining strong working relationships with Farmers/Landowners, we have in-depth technical knowledge and are best placed to support growers to maximise the quality and yield potential of their energy crops. Maximising both the return for the farmer/landowner and the quality and yield potential of the feedstock supplied.
We encourage a complete service by providing the feedstock into the plant, whilst also managing the digestate offtake. This allows us to return the nutrients from the digestate back to the land from which the crops were produced, completing the nutrient cycle.
How we work
- We engage and contract with local farmers to secure areas to supply the crop tonnages required.
- We support the growers with any technical know-how and advice required to support them throughout the growing of the crop.
- If required, haulage and application of digestate are managed and performed in-house by our specialist equipment and teams.
- Timing of the harvesting of crops is key in maximising DM yields and the biogas potential of feedstocks. Therefore, we inspect every crop multiple times leading up to harvest to ensure that crops are harvested correctly to ensure the maximum quality possible.
- All harvesting, transportation and clamping of feedstocks is carried out in-house by our dedicated teams through our associated companies, utilising our four dedicated high-capacity forage harvesters, fleet of vehicles and specialist clamping equipment.
- Not relying on third-party contractors ensures we can actively harvest crops whenever needed, ensuring optimum quality.
- Through our bespoke software application, we log individual field details, cropping, location, distances travelled, etc, allowing us to report all the data required for full traceability and sustainability auditing purposes.
