Digestate Management
What is Digestate?
Digestate is the nutrient-rich by-product of Anaerobic Digestion, which can be used to replace artificial fertiliser. Biogas is captured for further utilisation during the anaerobic digestion process, but all nutrients present in the feedstock remain in the digestate.
Once digestion has been completed, the remaining material is typically separated by a screwpress into two products, solid and liquid digestate.
By utilising digestate instead of artificial fertilisers, the agricultural industry can increase the organic matter and fertility of soils whilst providing necessary nutrients to crops in a more environmentally friendly manner and reducing their carbon footprint.

Application of liquids via the following application methods
- Shallow Disc Injection into stubble fields utilising a self-propelled applicator. This method of application minimises run-off and ammonia losses to the atmosphere.
- 12 Meter dribble Bar application utilising a self-propelled applicator.
- Umbilical Dribble Bar application (24 Meters): this method reduces traffic and compaction on the field and allows the machine to operate within the tramlines (provided they are 24 meters).
